Pets for Life

This blog is for the purpose of promoting responsible pet ownership throughout the life time of the pet. Pets are not throw aways- they are a commitment for the duration of that animal's life. It is my hope to educate and promote ownership, help people solve problems, and to make people aware of animal and pet related issues.

About Me

My photo
Stubbs Mac
I am a shelter dog. I was rescued by Texas American Bulldog Rescue hours before I was due to be euthanized. I went to a nice foster, then my new mom saw my picture on Pet Finders and fell in love! I am still recovering from life on the streets. I had sores and heartworm and should be completely healthy soon. I love my new family and I know I will be with them for the rest of my life. My mom is my ghost writer. She wants everyone to know how great shelter animals like me are!

Great and Wise, not Broken

"Shelter pets are not broken. They've simply experienced more life than other pets. If they were human, we would call them "wise". they would be the ones with tales to tell and stories to write. The ones dealt a bad hand who responded with courage. Don't pity a shelter pet. Adopt one. And be proud to have their greatness by your side."
